cebas Visual Technology Inc. has released an Subscription Drop 6 to thinkingParticles 6.0, is one of cebas' flagship plugins widely known for its fully procedural and physically accurate, real world destruction and special effects simulations in the movie and games industry.

What's new in thinkingParticles 6.0 - Subscription Drop 6:

The main update to look out for in Subscription Drop 6 is the All Purpose Fields or short: APF, made out of seven operators in the APField menu. The purpose of APF is to offer the FX professionals even greater art-direction when creating complex particle simulations and flows. With complex technology made simple, cebas hopes that creative production and visual objectives are more readily achieved.

AP-Fields are powerful volumetric operators allowing you to create and manipulate forces in 3D space that will affect particles in multiple ways, as they move through such fields, such as velocity control of particles and direction flow. While developing these new set of operators, our main focus has been to offer easy-to-use tools for delving and manipulating vector fields right within thinkingParticles. Such operators deal with 3D space and specifically vector fields, a basic school level understanding of vectors and the related math is expected. However, the fun part is cebas team has minimized the burden to use complex setups with multiple vector math nodes to achieve forcefield effects.

You can access this new set of nodes from Operators → APField menu. We mention here just two from the several unique APF operators: the APFInterpolate, used to read the field volumetric data at a specific position and return the interpolated result; and the APField, an advanced "satellite" like operator that can be used across multiple dynamic sets, similar to the one found in the new physics or Flow Solvers.

Drop 6 update also includes Workflow and Operator enhancements such as an Offline Help now accessible to Subscribers via the Internet or no-internet installation help file. Math Helper and GeomParticle Helper nodes enhanced. Objects can also be exported by material using AlembicExport. Fluid and Rigid Body interactions have been enhanced a lot - Try it. Mentions here are not exhaustive and Subscribers are invited to download from cebas Product Manager and explore AP-Fields.

About thinkingParticles 6.6. Countless blockbuster movies and projects depend on thinkingParticles' limitless ability to recreate advanced physics-based particle effects in a fully procedural way.

Now with Subscription Drop 6, the latest Update of thinkingParticles, offered for free to all full Subscription users in good standing. Cebas Visual Technology keeps its promise of delivering continual upgrades and enhancements.

Multi-Physics simulation has never been better and more advanced; fluid simulations and rigid body interactions have been optimized and resemble real world physics behaviour. Surprisingly, improving thinkingParticles simulation accuracy has no penalty and what you see is what you get with amazingly fast simulation times. Drop 6 delivers greater Procedural Volumetric Controls: All Purpose Fields. Using the Power of 3D Volume effects plus Dynamic AP-Fields, you can now use any 3dsMax Shape and transform it into 3D fields, Velocity fields from particle animations. tP 6.6 also sees the delivery of a most stable SPH Solver.

Our visual effects software, thinkingParticles , empowers artists in award-winning film post-production needing large-scale particle-based destruction effects in both the big screen and the TV screen. thinkingParticles' effects / FX are/ will be seen in the upcoming 'Antman 2'; 'Tomb Raider', 'Captain America', 'Ironman', 'Justice League', Ms.Peregrine Home for Peculiar Children, Super8, and the incredible effects of 'Independence Day Resurgence' , 'San Andreas', 'In the Heart of the Sea', to name a few. thinkingParticles is also used in game cinematic.

TV series with thinkingParticles: CW DC comics 'Flash', 'Supergirl', 'Legends of Tomorrow' / 'Constantine', ... And Netflix originals: Lost in Space, Luke Cage, Black Lightning, ... (sampling what we know :) To capture a memorable point in time, cebas tools were the ones that helped convert movies into high quality 3D Stereo and continues to do so today. This cebas technology was pioneered in the "Narnia" productions and were further developed under an agreement with a Los Angeles / Hollywood special effects studio in the highly successful transformation of "Harry Potter" into major 3D Stereo.

About cebas Visual Technology Inc. The company offers a broad range of proprietary production solutions for VFX studios and visualization design companies, including GPU rendering software for handling large graphic data.

Cebas Visual Technology's highly skilled developers work in tandem with the user communities to develop market leading visual effects (VFX) and rendering algorithms that are at once powerful for art-direction and problem-solving. We have successfully worked in conjunction with major motion pictures, architectural visualization firms, commercial designers, game cinematic agencies and other visual industries to develop unique features for their target audiences. Besides, becoming increasingly used in architectural and product visualizations, cebas software is also progressively being used for scientific communications and videomapping.
